Australia Open Champ’s LIV-PGA Merger Plea and Majors Reveal

Joaquin Niemann, a star of LIV Golf, has stated that he hopes to play a few PGA Tour tournaments this year as a result of a combination of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.

The Chilean said he wants the rumours of a collaboration between the two rival groups to come to pass. The existing state of men's professional golf before his title defence at the Australian Open, which begins on Thursday.

Niemann said: “I would love this Collab because it would be the best for the game”.

“I would really like for them to merge because they are considering the big picture and what is best for the game and the fans.”

“Playing on the PGA Tour would be fantastic for me. I play LIV Golf as captain of my team, Torque, and I would love to participate in those 14 events as well as a couple of PGA Tour events that I really enjoy.”

“I would want to play in three or four PGA Tour events, as well as a couple more on the DP World Tour because I adore Riviera and the Players.”

Australian Champ Tournaments

The Augusta National Club invited Niemann to this year’s championships after being amazed by his efforts to go to Australia and win the Australian Open in Sydney last year. Niemann competed at Royal Troon in July and played in the US PGA Tournament LIV Golf. The top 3 in the Australian National Open are given a spot at the Open Championship next year if they are not already excluded.

He sometimes played in Europe and represented his nation at the Olympics, where he ranked 10. His main goal in a potential merger is to get access to all the majors.

Niemann stated: “It was amazing to play on LIV Golf and be a part of the DP World Tour. I played the Rolex series for the first time. I'll be content if I can play those events to a few more, including the majors.”

Tournaments Schedule

Niemann was worried about the lengthy season, even though his performance on the DP World Tour guaranteed his spot at Royal Portrush for the next year. The traditional schedule of the PGA Tour is blamed outside of the US for degrading the standard of fields at major international tournaments, like as the Australian Open.

He said:

“We began in February and ended in September, which is a busy time of year overall. But, it allows you to obtain the chance to get ready physically and emotionally for e hectic year.”

“I’m staring at it more and more, and I think I’m getting used to it. Speaking with some older and talented players who participated in 14 or 15 events a year, they believed they were preparing for the majors.”
