Some of you must be thinking about what snub is. A guy who is unable to receive any affection from the NBA All-Star Game voting panel is considered a snub. Perhaps some of you were able to get that humour. However, it is accurate. There is more skill in the league than ever before. There had to be someone who was ignored.
Assuming no injuries occur between now and February 16, the NBA released their All-Star reserves on Thursday. The coaches chose these players and completed the 24-player roster for this year's All-Star Game in San Francisco.
Eastern Conference
- Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee Bucks
- Jaylen Brown from Boston Celtics
- Jalen Brunson from New York Knicks
- Cade Cunningham from Detroit Pistons
- Darius Garland from Cleveland Cavaliers
- Tyler Herro from Miami Heat
- Damian Lillard from Milwaukee Bucks
- Donovan Mitchell from Cleveland Cavaliers
- Evan Mobley from Cleveland Cavaliers
- Pascal Siakam from Indiana Pacers
- Jayson Tatum from Boston Celtics
- Karl-Anthony Towns from New York Knicks
Western Conference
- Stephen Curry from Golden State Warriors
- Anthony Davis from Los Angeles Lakers
- Kevin Durant from Phoenix Suns
- Anthony Edwards from Minnesota Timberwolves
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from Oklahoma City Thunder
- James Harden from Los Angeles Clippers
- Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies
- LeBron James from Los Angeles Lakers
- Nikola Jokić from Denver Nuggets
- Alperen Şengün from Houston Rockets
- Victor Wembanyama from San Antonio Spurs
- Jalen Williams from Oklahoma City Thunder
Who will be the Snub?
The West must be the source of the Biggest Snub. The conference has far too many talented players. Herro would never have taken a pick on a Western.500 team. If we're searching for this season's brightest non-All-Star, The Biggest Snub, he's in the West. He shouldn't have even surpassed Trae Young in the Eastern Conference. He defeated Tyler Herro to earn a spot on the All-Star team.
Harden is having a fantastic season for a Los Angeles Clippers squad that has surpassed expectations, and he could not win him over. Additionally, he could not be his own team's most important member. Ivica Zubac and Norman Powell are at least as influential as a fit Kawhi Leonard.
Domantas Sabonis is The Biggest Snub
LaMelo Ball, Devin Booker, and Tyrese Maxey are not this year's The Biggest Snub. It is Domantas Sabonis, the offspring of King of the Nails Arvydas.
- Sabonis:9 PTS (61/48/77)
- Irving:2 PTS (48/42/90)
- Harden:7 PTS (40/35/89)
Would you check that out? Sabonis makes more assists per game than Irving, leads the NBA in rebounds, and is the most effective scorer of the three. This season, Sabonis has also contributed more than both of them together.
