From September 27 to October 6, 2024, the Las Palmas Shooting Range in Lima, Peru, will host the ISSF Junior World Championship, which will be competed in by 61 Indian shooters. In the 4th edition of the Junior Shooting Championship, India's Under-21 athletes will compete for medals in pistol, rifle, and shotgun events.

Both Olympic and non-Olympic competitions will take place.

Changwon hosted the ISSF Junior World Championship's final tournament in 2023. India collected 17 medals in total, including 6 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze. Seven shooters from India won several medals.

The ISSF Junior World Championship in 2024 will feature around 560 shooters from 51 different countries. The United States has fielded 40 shooters for the Junior World Championship in 2024, while India has the most significant number with 61 shooters.

The People's Republic of China led the medal count with 28 medals, including 12 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze. India placed second behind them in the previous year's competition. China has only sent 7 shooters this year.
