A renowned automotive company, Mercedes-Benz, is striving to take back Shilo Sander’s car worth $97,000. The decision is due to the unpaid payments that the American football safety for the Colorado Buffalos did not return to the Benz. In response, Mercedes-Benz has also involved the court in interfering in the issue and solving it per the company’s demands and preferences.

Mercedes-Benz Wants Shilo’s Car

Shilo Sanders’ lineage reveals that he is a son of Deion Sanders, the coach of Colorado football. He is associated with the football world as the American football safety for the Colorado players and has earned a distinct name.

Shilo Sanders’s name has recently been in the news for his 2023 Mercedes car - the payment he did not give to the automotive company. According to Mercedes-Benz, football safety owes the company payment to the car company.

Shilo’s monthly installments from December to February have made his debt $6,877, which he did not pay. In addition, he also did not return the car’s payment, which adds up to a total of $97,239. Now that the car’s price has dropped to less than $97,000, Mercedes-Benz wants the court to permit it to repossess the vehicle from the football player's safety.

Shilo Sander Being a Defaulter

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services wants to involve the court in letting the company do whatever it takes to take back the car from Shilo Sander. The decision has many reasons: one is that Shilo is short of money, and secondly, the car is losing value in the time frame. The automotive company also filed a complaint to take back bankruptcy stay orders and take action.

Resources reveal that Shilo Sander wanted to keep the car with payments as scheduled when he filed for bankruptcy. However, the incidents unfolded, and Shilo became a defaulter and could not follow the monthly installments. Shilo bought the car in 2023 for $135,000, but now the company wants to repossess it because he has not yet paid for it.

Shilo Sander's 2015 Legal Conflict

Shilo's not returning money is not new. In October 2023, he filed a report with the intent to clear his debt of $1 million. In 2015, John Darjean, a security guard from Shilo’s school in Texas, filed a lawsuit against Shilo Sander and claimed that he caused him injuries while snatching his phone.

At that time, Shilo was 15 years old and supported his action, which he called self-defense. The court decided in favour of Darjean and asked Shilo to pay John Darjean $11.89 million.

Shilo Sander’s Future in NFL

Shilo Sander, an American football safety, is preparing for the NFL draft. His situation regarding lawsuits and bankruptcy makes it uncertain whether he will be selected. Even then, chances are that he will be drafted as an undrafted free agent in the National Football Association.
