Mets and Soto have reached a mutual agreement worth $765 million, lasting 15 years, from 2025 to 2039. The Soto signing contract includes a no-trade clause, a $75 million signing bonus, and no deferred money. 

The Mets have added an opt-out clause for Soto, allowing him to become a free agent again after 2029. The contract also has added terms and conditions. According to these terms, the Mets can void Soto’s opt-out by alleviating Soto's final 10 years worth from $51 million to $55 million annually. If that happens, the contract will be worth $805 million.
